Whole Wheat Bread



Ingredients:

• 3 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour
• 1/3 Cup milk
• 1/4 Cup honey
• 1 Cup warm water
• 1 1/4 tsp Salt
• 1/4 Cup vegetable oil
• 1 Packet dry yeast

How to make Whole Wheat Bread:

• In large mixing bowl combine 1 cup of water with the salt, the honey, the yeast, the oil and the milk and stir until mix.
• Mix in the flour and stir until the dough starts pull away from the bowl.
• Place the dough on a lightly flour surface and knead the dough for 6 to 10 minutes or until the dough become smooth.
• Place a small amount of oil in a large bowl and place the dough in the bowl and flip the dough to cover the dough with oil.
• Cover the bowl with a towel and let the dough rise for approx. 1 hour, the dough should double in size.
• Take the dough out of the bowl and place on a lightly floured surface, shape the dough into a 8 inches log and place into a lightly grease loaf pan.
• Loosely cover the pan with lightly oil plastic wrap and let raise for 30 to 60 minutes until the dough raises approx.1 inch above the pan.
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F place in center of oven and cook for about 40 minutes.
• Test if the wheat bread is done by thumping the bottom of the bread it should sound hollow.
• Let the bread cool on a rack then slice.
• Whole Wheat Bread is ready.

Cherry Jelly



Ingredients:

• 3-1/2 Cups cherry juice
• 4-1/2 Cups sugar
• 1 pkg Dry pectin
• 1 Cup water

For Cherry Juice:

• 1 Gallon cherries, fully ripe

How to make Cherry Jelly:

• Softly wash the cherries and remove the stems.
• In a large bowl, crush cherries.
• Add water to crushed cherries.
• Boil them over high heat.
• Reduce the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
• Strain the juice through a cheesecloth or jelly bag.
• Take a large pot and add cherry juice.
• Now combine pectin with this and stir.
• Place over high heat and stir continuously.
• Bring it to a full rolling boil.
• Add sugar and bring to a full rolling boil once more, keep stirring
• Boil hard for about 1 minute.
• Remove from the fire.
• Remove the foam.
• Ladle into the hot jelly jars leaving 1/4 inch headspace.

Bread Pudding




Ingredients:


• 2 cups Milk
• 1/4 cup Butter
• 2/3 cup Sugar
• 3 Eggs
• 2 tsp Cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
• 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
• 3 cups Bread Crumbs
• 1/2 cup Raisins or berries

How to make Bread Pudding:

• Boil the milk over medium heat.
• Add in butter, continue stirring until butter is melted. Cool to lukewarm.
• Combine sugar, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for 1 minute.
• Slowly add milk mixture.
• Place bread crumbs in a lightly greased casserole.
• Sprinkle with raisins or berries if desired.
• Pour batter on top of bread.
• Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes or until set. Serve warm.

Bhajias



Ingredients:

• 1 Cucumber
• 1 Onion
• 1 Potato
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying
• 1 small Gourd
• ½ cup Rice Flour
• 1-½ cup Gram Flour
• 8-10 Ajwain Leaves
• ½ tsp Cumin Seeds
• ½ tsp Turmeric Powder

How to make Bhajias:

• Cut the vegetables. Do not slice the vegetables too thick or too thin.
• Mix rice flour, gram flour, salt, cumin seeds, and turmeric powder in a bowl. Add enough water to make a batter of thick consistency.
• Heat the oil in a pan. When oil gets hot, add a tablespoon of oil to the batter and mix it well.
• Dip the vegetables slice by slice and slide into the hot oil. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
• Bhajias are ready to eat. Serve hot with tomato sauce or green chutney.

Aloo Pakora



Ingredients:

• 6 Large potatoes
• 2 Cups besan
• 1 Cup water
• 4 Cups oil
• 2 tsp Red chilli powder
• 1 tsp Mango powder
• Salt to taste

How to make Aloo Pakora:

• Wash potatoes and cut it into thin slices.
• Add water to besan and make a batter of thick consistency.
• Add red chilli powder, mango powder.
• Blend it well.
• Heat the oil.
• Dip each piece of potato in batter.
• Fry these potato pieces one by one till they turn golden brown.
• Serve hot Aloo Pakora with tomato sauce.

Chilly Prawn



Ingredients:

• 2 Cups prawns
• 2 Onions
• 2 Capsicums
• 2 tsp Pepper
• 1 tbsp Soy sauce
• 2 tbsp Spring onion
• 4 tbsp Maida
• 4 tbsp Corn flour
• 2 Garlic flakes
• 2 Eggs
• 1 Pinch ajinomoto
• Salt to taste
• Pepper and sugar to taste
• Oil for frying

How to make Chilly Prawn:

• Chop the onions, capsicum, green chillies, garlic and ginger
• Clean the prawns.
• Mix maida, corn flour, eggs, salt, pepper and sugar to make a batter.
• Heat the oil.
• Dip the prawn pieces in batter.
• Fry them till reddish brown in colour.
• Drain and keep it aside.
• Heat the oil.
• Add chopped ginger, garlic, chopped vegetables and green chillies one by one.
• Toss them well.
• Now add prawns.
• Mix salt, sugar, pepper, ajinomoto and soy sauce.
• Toss the mixture by adding water.
• Once the mixture is half cooked, add spring onions.
• Mix it well.
• Chilly Prawn is ready.

Prawn Tikka



Ingredients:

• 300 gms Prawns (cleaned)
• 1 tsp Chilli powder
• 4 Garlic flakes
• 4 tsp Lemon juice
• 3 tbsp Sesame seeds
• 1 Bunch coriander leaves
• Salt to taste
• Oil for frying

How to make Prawn Tikka:

• Cut prawns into pieces.
• Grind garlic to make a paste.
• Make a spot horizontally with a knife in the middle.
• Mix lemon juice, salt and garlic paste.
• Put this mixture in the middle of the prawn pieces.
• Keep prawns for drying.
• Grind sesame seeds, chilli powder, salt and coriander leaves to make a paste.
• Put this paste on the prawn pieces.
• Fry these prawn pieces till crisp.
• Serve hot.
